BratMUN experience 2016

Going to an MUN conference for the first time somehow felt like skydiving.

First, we were actually pretty enthusiastic about it- a feeling that magically disappeared during the night before and albeit changed into a touch of panic: from small worries about the dress code to big ones about the opening statement- there were just so many things that could have gone wrong.

Still, we of course had to overcome our fears and jump- and as most skydivers would probably agree with me now, it was absolutely worth the risk. We learned to advocate our point of view in an eloquent manner, to dress in an appropriate business attire, to apply the rules of professional debating- and how to have an amazing experience together with our old and recently made friends! I would definitely recommend this event to anyone who does not only like to come up with arguments and cooperate in groups but also has fun debating and meeting people from all over the world who have the same interests as you. I am grateful we were given this enriching opportunity and would like to thank Nord Anglia Eduction, the British International School Bratislava and especially Mr Pheby for enabling us to take this jump.
