Computer Science Week

From the 5-9th December BISB will celebrate Computer Science Week and the Hour of Code through a wide range of student lead workshops and presentations. All sessions will run during break [10:15-10:45] and lunch [12:15-13:15] times as this is students demonstrating what they have discovered.

So far we have students demonstrating programming and coding using Scratch, C#, Arduino and Makey Makey. There will be robotics presentations with LEGO Movers, BeeBots, ProBots and LEGO Mind Storms. On several days there will even be demonstrations of a lemon battery as well as a circuit soldering.

Please visit the website: https://code.org/ for more information about Computer Science Week and the Hour of Code as well as for activities that your child can attempt at home no matter what their age or interest.

There is a timetable and some more information on display in the corridor next to the main office.
