After having a small tour through Christmas Hofburg we visited the Vienna Time Travel Museum. It was an excellent opportunity to learn more about the history and traditions of Vienna. The highlight of the museum was the 5D cinema where we could travel in the time and visit places like Stefans Dom or the medieval streets during the plague and experience them through the perspective of a rat. An audience by the Habsburgs, visit to a real bombing shelter or a carriage ride through Vienna made the impression even stronger.
We rounded our day in the Wienerwald restaurant next to the Stefan’ s Dome with a typical Viennese Schnitzel and Apfelstrudel.
The Year 7 students were fantastic, well behaved and represented the school in a very good way. The Year 7 German teachers were very proud of them.

“The German Vienna field trip was amazing! We went to a beautiful Christmas market and a very interesting museum called Time Travel. In the museum we went to a bunker, listened to famous Viennese music and even went to a 5D cinema. At the end we went to a restaurant. I hope we do something like this again.” (Sofia)
“I really enjoyed the trip. I liked going around the Christmas market and having a lot of fun. I learned a lot about Vienna whilst having a lot of fun at the same time. There was a 5D cinema and an air raid simulation, which was really amazing.” (Simon)
