The Eco-Committee for the Community

22 June 2016

When we heard that Viktor Hatina and Jojo Majsky together with their hockey team planted trees  in the High Tatras, we were thinking we would like to do the same.

We started to look for opportunities and contacted the community centre in Dubravka  who are establishing a garden.

We suggested to the manager that we would plant climbing plants along the concrete fence to turn it into a green wall. They liked our suggestion and therefore a group of eight students worked at the centre on Friday June 11th. First we cultivated the land, then planted, and finally weeded existing flower beds. We hope that this is just the beginning. We would like to organize more projects to plant trees in the future.
