Not only has this been great fun, it also requires the children to cooperate with each other, making sure the coast is clear before they slide down the slope. This also challenges their physical skills, not just spatial awareness but also because they have to climb back up the slope. It has also been fantastic to observe the children helping each other up the hill. The children challenged themselves by trying out the steeper slopes and balancing on the snowboard!
As well as sledging, some of the children made a snowman. They climbed up the trees to collect sticks for the snowman's arms, and we even brought in a carrot for his nose. When the snow turned to rain, Yehor lent the snowman his umbrella so that he wouldn't melt so quickly.
