World Language Assembly

19 January 2017

We started the assembly by practicing a World Language Anthem – a song with a known melody that Mrs. Hatinova arranged nicely for piano and drums and where the lyrics were adapted to fit our learning of languages perfectly. Our first go was quite impressive! We will practise the song every lesson and sing it all together every time we have a language assembly.

Next it was Y5 who performed different songs in a great way: One group told us about their weekend activities, one about a very happy day, another one performed a rap. The French group then sang a lovely a song about a bunny that is saved by a deer from a hunter.

Finally, we all sang the song ‘If you are happy and you know it’ in three different languages with the audience joining in for the English part. Well done everybody and especially Year 5!
