The Right to Eat Cake

15 November 2017

BISB has a dedicated and enthusiastic Amnesty International club raising awareness of issues around human rights in the school and supporting the valuable work of Amnesty International by learning about their campaigns and choosing people to write to and petitions to sign. On Friday 10th November we held an event to try to encourage more people to join our important work and to learn more about the work of Amnesty. We gave away delicious cakes in exchange for learning about the work of Amnesty, signing petitions and learning about human rights abuses around the world. the event was a success and drummed up a pleasing buzz about our work. Happily, a few more people were inspired to come to our club on Monday and we hope that this will continue so that we can spread our messages as far as possible. If you are interested to join our group please see Ms Mably - we meet on a Monday at 13:15 in LS1 on the Primary corridor.
