As well as this global initiative, we have over the last three years, as part of the NAE Global Campus Challenge “Make it Right” campaign, committed to raise 20,000 Euros to support the Kramare hospital orthopaedic ward. If you remember in our school newsletter we handed over the final amount of money in June 2017. Since then I have been looking for another local project for the school to support.

From Term 2 will begin to support another local charity Plamienok through our schools fundraising activities. They are a non-profit organisation who provide homecare services for terminally ill children. Every year they run a therapeutic summer camp for bereaved children. The Camp is open to children from the whole of Slovakia who have experienced a close bereavement of a family member. We will aim to raise money through fundraising activities in Term 2 and into 2018-19 academic year to support this project. A link to last year’s summer camp is below:

We are looking at ways in which our students will be able get involved with the organisation and this may include workshops which could be delivered in school to our students. More details can be found about the organisation at the links below.
