This week Year 4 travelled back 100 years in the Tardis to see what life was like just before World War One, as part of their new history and Literacy topics 'Explorers' and 'Ice Trap'

The children travelled back via Dr Who's Tardis and met Miss Edith Sharpe, the schoolmistress; Captain Humphrey Bartley-Farquhar, the Polar explorer; and Ted Bovis, the Yorkshire miner. The children asked questions and interviewed their new friends, finding out many new facts about what life was like 100 years ago.
