Scratch Programming in Year 3!

All this week Year 3 classes are programming their own original computer animations using Scratch software. We are moving from concept and design, to storyboarding ideas, to programming including movements and sounds to help us tell a simple story.

Previously this year students used Scratch Junior on the school iPads to program an animation that summarised and retold the story of our play 'Go For Gold'. This unit of work extends the more hands on programming that occurs in Years 1 & 2 by introducing conceptual, on-screen programming with software programs. Everyone is producing wonderful work and we can't wait to see the finished products at the end of this week!
