The rest of the week was great fun: we visited Salzburg; went to Hallstatt salt mine and lake; and visited Eisriesenwelt – the world’s largest ice cave. Our favourite activity was the trick fountain at Hellbrunn Schloss. As we were walking through the gardens our tour guide turned on the fountains and got us all soaked, but it was a hot day so we didn’t mind. In the evening we watched, ‘The Sound of Music’ and pointed out all of the places we had visited in Salzburg.
In the evenings, we enjoyed a range of events. Mr. Pavlik arranged team games and played sports with us. Ms. Slobodova organised everything, making sure that we were never bored. Ms. Freeman provided hula hoops, bats and balls, and was always around to play with us. Ms. Thatcher took photographs so that our parents could see how much fun we were having. We toasted marshmallows, enjoyed a talent show, danced at the disco, and sang karaoke. Our teachers had the most fun at the karaoke! It was a really good week and we all got on very well. We enjoyed ourselves so much that many of us fell asleep on the bus back to Bratislava.
