Ahoy Shipmates!

18 January 2018

The children in Year 1 got a surprise this week when they discovered a treasure map in a bottle. The map lead them to where the treasure was hiding.

The treasure chest held some chocolate coins, but more importantly it contained a letter from Captain Peg Leg Pete who needed new crew members for his ship, The Black Peal! To become a pirate the children had to create a pirate disguise and a new pirate name. What would your pirate name be?

The children will continue the topic of pirates for the next few weeks and through this topic they will read some stories about pirates and learn about different materials.
