Forest School

Say goodbye to Forest School!

It is very hard to believe it, that is the end of the school year. All of the children from Nursery, Reception and Year 1 had tremendous opportunities during terms 1, 2, 3 to enjoy nature and had a lot of pleasure from the activities we shared in Dubravka forest. Let me briefly mention the activities which we have delivered during 7 sessions:

• Timber hitch knot on the fishing stick.

• Wild in the Woods.

• Can you find a treasure box from Robin Hood?

• Wonderful winter hunt

• Super spring scavenger hunt.

• Go on the bug hunt.

• Be a summer sleuth!

During these activities I could see in the children lots of confidence and independence in the woodlands, they also developed self-confidence, social skills and language as well as a better understanding of nature and the environment. These are just some of the benefits but the most important was that the children had a chance to be children and had a lot of fun!

I wish you all, but especially my dear colleagues without whom the Forest School was not a Forest School, an unforgettable summer holiday!
