On Monday night the Music Department put on the end of year concert showcasing all the talented musical groups at BISB.
There were performances from the Orchestra, String Orchestra, Handbells, Young Voices, Junior Choir, Senior Girls' Choir, Boys' Choir, Community Choir, the Flute Choir and the newly formed Bras Ensemble.
The Music was vastly eclectic from Vivaldi to Musical, Chopsticks to Nina Simone. Everyone had a lovely time.
The musical groups have now broken down the age barriers within school as the two orchestras and boys' choir contain musicians from both the junior and the senior schools. As well as seeing staff participate in many ensembles. The community choir was a firm favourite with an amazing rendition of Hushabye Mountain as their last number.
The little ones stole the show though with a very energetic version of Camptown Races being provided by the Junior Choir and Mrs Warmington.
Our music department is going from strength to strength through the Juilliard program and it is great to see the standard of the groups get higher each time. We have something truly special at BISB.
Thank you to the students, staff and the audience for their support. We wish you a lovely summer.
