Year 8 Citizenship students challenged to create an assembly

Year 8 Citizenship students challenged to create an assembly

This week in Citizenship, Year 8 students were set the challenge of creating their own assembly for KS3

They have decided to focus on mental health issues and to raise awareness of this. This is a great opportunity for these students to see how much time and effort goes into planning an assembly. As they will need to book everything themselves, and research and plan it. This is going to be great to develop their communication and group-working skills. In a few weeks’ time they will be giving their assembly to KS3, and we are excited to see what they can achieve.
