Year 5 assembly

Year 5 French and German assembly

The Eiffel Tower, which everybody knows is in Paris, is turning 130 this year!

But our Year 5 French students have also been learning that Paris is also the home of the Arc de Triomphe and the beautiful church of Sacré-Coeur. Year 5 French students made an excellent presentation. All the information they collected from their research during French lessons was displayed in an informative assembly which was accompanied by the song “La seine“, by Vanessa Paradis.

Do you know what is the Fifth season? We all know about spring, summer, autumn and winter, but did you know that there is also a fifth one? Yes! In German speaking countries, we call this the carnival season. Our Year 5 German students have explained to us how it works in Germany during this special time of the year, when being a bit “crazy“ is officially allowed. Singing songs, having fun – this is what all the Primary students did on Monday, the 25th of March. The catchy carnival kids song  “Tschu, tschu, wa, wa” made the whole Primary school sing and actively participate in the assembly. Well done Year 5!
