Plamienok (www.plamienok.com )are a non-profit organisation who provide homecare services for terminally ill children. Every year they run a therapeutic summer camp for bereaved children. The Camp is open to children from the whole of Slovakia who have experienced a close bereavement of a family member.
The “Move-a-thon” is a fund-raising event that will get all students running or walking around a route that is made up of our sports track and the park that is next to BISB. The total distance of a single lap is 1km.
Students can choose to walk or run around the route and will be encouraged to seek sponsorship in the form of either a single donation or a specified amount per lap from family and friends outside of school.
Each student has been given a sponsorship form and they have until Wednesday 5th June to find as many sponsors as possible. This event is open to all students in Year 7-10 as they get to choose how quickly they walk/run around the route. In addition to raising money, it is also a House event, and for every completed lap, students will gain a house point for their house.
Students should wear their House PE kit for this event and make sure to be wearing appropriate shoes. All students must bring a water bottle to this event.
