I’m a qualified Fine Art and Slovak language teacher and I previously worked as a primary teacher for two years. I loved the work and it was a priceless experience for me, but I felt it was time to leave Slovakia.
I moved to Dublin, Ireland, initially for a couple of years, and as it happened, didn't leave for another 12 years. In Ireland, I worked in pre-school and after school childcare settings, later moving into finance and sales with my last post being a customer experience officer. Ireland is my second home and the green half of my heart will miss it, but I knew it was time to come back to Slovakia.
Having had an experience of relocating to another country and living the life of an expat, I am now back and re-discovering my own lovely homeland again.
I’ve always loved children and over the years I’ve been involved in many voluntary activities for children and young people: I admire their unique and unspoiled world of wonders. Having my own family now makes me appreciate this aspect and enjoy it even more.
Spending time with my family is always fun. I also love art in every shape and form, I like backpacking and traveling in general, as well as dancing and singing. I like doing sudoku and I always enjoy a good crime drama.
I’m a positive person who sees the world as an amazing place of possibilities. I think that every door we open for children helps them to find their way to a happy and successful life.
I believe that a good quality school can be that door. I’m happy to be part of the British International School Bratislava and enjoy accompanying new students and parents on the beginning of their journey at our school.
