After graduating with a PGCE in Secondary English from the University of Gloucestershire, I decided to take a year out to teach TEFL in Tokyo. This was a move that fueled my sense of wanderlust, as well as my desire to teach around the world. Since then, I have taught English and English Literature in the UK, Vietnam, Sweden, and India before arriving in Bratislava, Slovakia.
My passion is travel (and travel writing), so I spend most of my holidays in new places. I have visited 51 countries so far and hope to reach many more. My travel highlights include: climbing Mt. Fuji; sailing the Caribbean; seeing the Taj Mahal, Great Wall of China, and Machu Picchu; and photographing the Northern Lights in the Arctic. I visited Bratislava in 2013 and thought at the time that it seemed like a wonderful place to live, so I am very happy to be here and see if I was right!
I am really excited to join the British International School, Bratislava, where I am looking forward to working with motivated teachers, enthusiastic students, and being part of a busy and vibrant school community.
