Head of Mathematics and Computer Science & 11RE Tutor
Robert teaches secondary Mathematics. He enjoys Mathematics, because the subject requires creativity and imagination, and because he enjoys problem solving. Teaching is a way for him to share his enthusiasm for the subject with others. He also enjoys learning from and sharing ideas with colleagues and is a recipient of the 2013 Nord Anglia University Professional Development Award for Leadership.

Mathematics Teacher & Head of Year 10
Inspired as a teenager by my own Maths teacher, I aim to develop a love of Maths in my students by setting high standards and challenging them whilst bringing a sense of fun to the subject. I have experience teaching Maths in 4 different schools, across the secondary age range. My most recent school achieved excellent standards in maths, taking it near to the top of the leader board in the county.
Mathematics Teacher & 13HB Tutor
I graduated with a BSc in Mathematics and Statistics and followed this by completing my PGCE and Diploma in Education, all at Edinburgh University, UK.
I am part of the Mathematics Department at BISB and love to share my passion for Mathematics with the students. I have recently completed eight years teaching in Brunei and Oman and prior to this worked for many years at an independent school in Edinburgh where I was Head of Mathematics.
Mathematics Teacher & TOK & CAS Coordinator
I am excited to join the successful Mathematics Department at BISB, as I make the move back to Europe from previous international teaching posts in Jakarta and Shanghai. After studying a Masters in Engineering at Newcastle University in the UK, I now thoroughly enjoy sharing my passion for Maths and its many applications, with students across the secondary school age range. I also like the fun and competitive side of the subject, and enjoy seeing my students actively take part in various competitions.
Computer Science, Maths and International Award Coordinator
I have studied and graduated with a Master’s degree from Civil engineering and Architecture at the Slovak University of Technology in 2002. I have joined the British International School in 2003 as a classroom assistant for year 2. After 2 years I have been promoted to a specialist teacher initially in the KS1 and KS2, later to KS3 and KS4. I have completed my PGCE course at the University of Sunderland.
Head of Year 8 & Science, Physics and Mathematics Teacher
After completing a Physics degree in Queens University Belfast, I went on to study for the intensive Cambridge CELTA course, teaching English as a foreign language. It was my first teaching experience and I was hooked!
Science, Mathematics and Physics Teacher & 8RE
A British trained teacher of Science and Geology from the University of Exeter, Rob specialises in Physics having attained a Masters degree in Physics from the University of Salford. He taught for many years in the UK and was Head of Science in a school in Liverpool for 13 years. During this time he was an examiner for GCSE Physics and a coursework moderator for GCSE Science.
Before coming to Bratislava he lived in Shanghai for 6 years, teaching Physics up to IB AHL level at the British International School in Shanghai where he was also Pastoral Head of Year 7. He has now been in Bratislava for 3 years and lives in Stupava with his family.
