Kate Fitzpatrick

Head of Primary

Kate joined BISB after 7 years in leadership at The British International School of Hanoi, also a Nord Anglia School. Prior to that Kate has taught in Melbourne and her hometown of London. Kate holds a BA (Hons) degree in Early Years Education with Qualified Teacher Status providing her with an deep understanding of pedagogy from the very youngest learners through the oldest students in the Primary School.

Kate believes having high expectations for students both academically and their own personal development is key to their success at school. Additionally,  she strives to ensure all students have access to a high quality enrichment program to maximise the opportunities for learning during their time at school. Kate also values the importance of a strong partnership between home and school.

In her spare time Kate enjoys swimming, cycling and running. She has completed several triathlons whilst living in South East Asia and is looking forward to competing in a slightly cooler climate. Kate also enjoys cooking food from around the world, reading  and theatre. I am very much looking forward to enjoying the beautiful nature Slovakia has to offer.
