Nicholas McGauley

Head of Whole School Visual and Performing Arts & Music Teacher

Having completed a BA (Hons) in Composition and Contemporary Music in 2002, I worked as a freelance teacher of drum kit and percussion in schools throughout the south of England whilst playing and performing in a number of bands and music projects throughout East Sussex and London.

However, my interest and passion for music education pushed me to complete my Post Graduate Certificate in Music Education at Canterbury University, and I have since had a fantastic experience working at schools in England, Malaysia and China.

I love all types of music but particularly enjoy modern funk, jazz and rock music with a real interest in how classical, world, and Western music can be fused to create something quite unique.
