Year 2A Teacher

I have joined BISB after over 17 years teaching primary in international schools around the world. My first overseas teaching post was in the Czech Republic where I met my husband who will also be joining the school in the secondary Science department. After teaching on every continent (except Antarctica) it delights me to come closer to relatives in England.

I recently received my Masters of Education (in I.T.) through Memorial University in Canada and love trying new ways of using technology creatively in the classroom. I am often known by staff and students as an innovator or ‘out-of-the-box’ thinker. I love to inspire kids to develop divergent thinking skills, to collaborate and most importantly, to love learning!  My teaching journey began after completing my PGCE teaching qualification through the University of Wollongong, Australia. The bulk of my experience has been teaching the English National Curriculum and have experience from Nursery to KS2, teaching in the classroom, on the primary leadership team and in technology coordinator positions.

For fun, I enjoy being outdoors, exploring new places, trying new things, tasting new foods and enjoying all life has to offer.
