I graduated from the University of Glasgow with an Honours degree in Marine and Freshwater Biology, before going on to complete my PGDE at the University of Strathclyde. I have since then been teaching in Scotland for 7 years and have had the opportunity to teach across all ages of the primary school, within both KS1 and KS2, which I have thoroughly enjoyed. I have had the responsibility of planning and implementing a whole school primary health week event for the last three years, focusing on fitness, healthy eating and health and wellbeing activities. I enjoy being part of the extra-curricular side of school and was the netball coach at my previous school for the last five years. For the past two years I was fortunate to be involved in the running of a Military Kids’ Club, providing support to children from military families.
Outside of teaching I love being outdoors and enjoy hill walking, swimming, kayaking and skiing. I have always been a keen traveler; enjoying exploring new places, meeting new people and understanding different cultures. My passion for travel and my love of teaching has been my motivation to look for a new challenge and join the team at the British International School Bratislava.
