Mark Kelly

Year 5B Class Teacher

I studied at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. After graduation, I worked in inner city schools in the north of England before leaving to take up a post in Bucharest, Romania. My next place of work was Kenya where I taught Year 4 and 6 as well as coaching cricket, rugby and hockey. I was also dorm tutor for the senior boys. Wanting a fresh challenge, I came to Bratislava.

In my spare time I like to read novels and history books. I am also a keen football player, long distance runner, cricketer and swimmer. I have been known to play guitar.

What the students say about me

Mr Kelly is nice, very nice but can be strict about specific things like being neat, using a ruler and other things. – Niklas

Mr Kelly is very funny and is a very good teacher because he hardly ever gets angry. – Maddy

I like Mr Kelly because he is funny, has good jokes. He is not mean to us and helps us with what we don’t know.- Jan
