Born in Stockholm, Sweden, as a child of parents in the Diplomatic Service, I lived in several countries growing up, which fostered my love for travelling and experiencing new cultures.
After gaining my LTCL in piano and flute, as well as my Fellowship in flute from Trinity College London, I worked as a Principal Flute in PACT Orchestra for 10 years.
I then took up a post as Music Teacher at Northside School in Gabarone, Botswana, while my husband was a camp manager for Ker and Downy doing photographic safaris. We stayed there for eight idyllic years till my youngest daughter was accepted as a ballet student at Tring Arts School in the UK, and my eldest daughter took up an academic scholarship at Edgehill College in Devon. We moved to the UK where I taught Music in St Mary’s School for Girls and later as Director of Music in St Margaret’s Preparatory School in Gosfield Hall Park.
My husband retired and so we moved to Spain, where we bought a house in Andalucia, and I took up a post with International College Spain for the past 6 years as Primary Music Teacher. I love being involved in the Juilliard activities since ICS became a Nord Anglia School, and I was the Juilliard lead in the first two years attending workshops in New York and Switzerland, and accompanied children taking part in the Global Orchestra in New York.
I love walking, hiking, dance, warm furry animals, children and exploring international food. I thrive in an international environment and look forward to learning about a new culture and language.
