Mária Brečková

British International School Bratislava_Slovak Teacher_Maria Breckova

Slovak Teacher

After studying Slovak language, Literature and History at Comenius University, Faculty of Philosophy in Bratislava, I began teaching at the high school in Galanta. I later moved to Bratislava with my family where I continued to teach Slovak at a primary school for a few years. I than decided to try something new and spent a few years in marketing, working for a hotel chain. It was a new yet very interesting learning experience.

Having the chance to now return to teaching at the British International School in Bratislava was an opportunity I was very glad to accept as I have always found working with children to be very fulfilling.

In my free time I like to spend time with my family, read books of all genres andI enjoy long walks in the nature. I also enjoy travelling and getting to experience new countries and cultures.
