School Counsellor

I hold two Master’s degrees, one in English and German language and Literature from Matej Bel University in Banska Bystrica and one in Psychology with an emphasis in Counselling Psychology from Webster University in Vienna. I’m currently a PhD candidate in School Psychology at the Paneuropean University in Bratislava and in my research, I focus on social-emotional health of students and positive school climate. I regularly attend professional trainings and international school psychology conferences as an active participant.

I have worked with children in different settings - a psychological counselling centre, special school for children with autism spectrum disorders and a Slovak public school. Through experience from these various settings, I acquired professional skills to work with a variety of developmental, learning, emotional as well as everyday issues children may be dealing with in various stages of their development. In my work with children, I strongly believe in positive approach with an emphasis on children’s’strengths and skills.

I am a mother of two boys and I enjoy spending time with my family actively. We do lot of outdoor activities together including cycling, walking, skiing, swimming or playing golf. My hobby number one is yoga and I am also a qualified yoga instructor. I enjoy travelling and exploring different cultures. Before I settled down in Slovakia I travelled extensively and lived in the US and Australia.

Please feel free to stop by my office for a chat, it will be my pleasure to meet you.
