I graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Comenius University in Bratislava with a master’s degree in biophysics and chemical physics in 1989. For the next nearly 20 years I worked as a laboratory assistant at the Slovak Academy of Sciences. The projects I participated in concerned cell physiology.
My favorite laboratory technique was electron microscopy because the method used to prepare tissue samples provided beautiful negatively contrasted cell membranes. In April 2019 I applied for a position of laboratory technician in BISB and it was offered to me, which I highly appreciate.
In my free time I like doing outdoor sports like hiking, inline skating, cross country skiing or wild water paddling. At home I like doing things myself.
