Northbridge students arrived back from Boston this week after participating in the MIT-Nord Anglia STEAMFest. The weeklong event saw students immersed in everything related to science, technology, engineering, arts and maths (STEAM) with leading experts and researchers at MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology).
Northbridge students arrived back from Boston this week after participating in the MIT-Nord Anglia STEAMFest. The weeklong event saw students immersed in everything related to science, technology, engineering, arts and maths (STEAM) with leading experts and researchers at MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology).
Northbridge students joined 104 students from 25 Nord Anglia Education schools globally for a programme designed by MIT and Nord Anglia Education experts. Working with professors and researchers from the university, Northbridge students took part in innovative hands-on workshops in bioengineering, robotics, and coding to music production, gaming and virtual reality.
The inspiring programme gives students a taste of MIT’s practical, hands-on approach to problem solving. During the week, our students built and controlled underwater robots that collected samples of the water quality in the Charles River, designed and programmed their own computer games, and tested and made genetically modified foods. They also toured MIT and Harvard to get a taste of student life at these prestigious universities.
