In Grade One, our young learners have been diving into an inspiring unit of inquiry: how taking action can positively impact our local community. Throughout this learning journey, our students have embraced the idea that even small actions can create meaningful change—a mindset we nurture across all Nord Anglia schools.

Students Discover the Power of Taking Action

Over the past few weeks, Grade One students have explored different ways they can contribute to the world around them. Their curiosity, creativity, and compassion have driven them to come up with thoughtful, student-led initiatives that reflect the true spirit of global citizenship and community responsibility.

Using Their Voices for Change

Several students chose to take meaningful action through communication. They crafted heartfelt letters expressing their ideas, concerns, and hopes for our community. This experience not only strengthened their writing skills but also helped them understand that their voices matter—and that advocacy is a powerful tool for positive change.

Caring for Local Wildlife

Other students took a hands-on approach by creating beautifully designed bird houses and bug hotels. These wonderful projects demonstrate the students’ commitment to caring for local wildlife and protecting our environment. We can’t wait to see local birds and insects enjoying these creative and sustainable habitats!

Celebrating Meaningful Action

We are incredibly proud of our Grade One learners for showing initiative, empathy, and responsibility. Their actions—big and small—highlight how young students can make a real impact when they are empowered to lead their own learning.
