December has been a busy month for sport in Northbridge Primary, and overall a very successful one! On 4 December all of our Northbridge International School Cambodia students from Grades 3 to 5 took part in the YAPP Track and Field Day. Not only was this a chance for the students to meet and compete with students from other ISSAPP schools it also was a fun day filled with achieving personal bests. All the students did a fabulous job and should be proud of their efforts.

Only a few days later 13 of our students left for Ho Chi Minh City for the 4th Annual Nord Anglia South East Asia Games. Our teams went to Vietnam to compete in Tee Ball and Basketball and overall the students did an amazing job. This event required our girls team to collaborate with others and they joined forces with a school from Manila to compete.

The boys have a full roster from Northbridge and represented our school very well. At the end of two long days of competition the athletes came home with medals to show how their hard work and dedication paid off. The girls came second place in tee-ball, bringing home silver, and 4th place in basketball. The boys came third, bringing home bronze medals in both sports.

The month of sport didn’t stop there, Thursday 12 December was our annual Grade 4 and 5 Biathlon, which saw our students complete a 250m swim followed by a 1600m run. Students have been training and set goals along the way.

It was an impressive morning full of dedication and encouragement. The student with the fastest time was 14 minutes, which is a huge accomplishment. Congratulations to all the students who worked hard in training and achieved great finishing times.
