Transportation
All transportation will be arranged by NISC. Each school will have a bus which picks them up from the airport as well as to and from NSIC each day. We will be using reliable bus agencies from Phnom Penh with licenced vetted drivers.
Upon arrival in Phnom Penh a representative from NISC will meet your group at the Phnom Penh Airport and will accompany you to your hotel. In order for everyone to be present at the opening dinner we ask that you try to arrange flights that arrive in Phnom Penh no later than 3:30 on Friday November 30th.
Team Sizes
Each school will be allowed to enter a maximum of 24 primary students from Years 5 & 6 (subject to age eligibility). Teams will consist of 12 Girls and 12 Boys who will compete in a weekend of basketball and teeball.
Basketball & Tee-Ball
The tournaments will have a pool play format with a ranked semi-finals and finals game.
Basketball will be played across 3 courts on NISC Campus. These courts are all outdoor but covered. The Teeball will also be played on site, in one of our 3 fields. Due to the high level of outdoor activity all teams will be given a cool down room to access throughout the tournament.
The draw for the weekend can be found here
Officials
Throughout the weekend we will be using trained referees for all Basketball games from the Khmer Basketball Federation. As no baseball or t-ball league exists in Phnom Penh we are asking for volunteers to come and officicate. These volunteers would have all expenses covered by NISC.
Meals
All meals during the trip will be organized by NISC and mostly happen on campus. All meals will be buffet style and will offer vegetarian options. However other restrictions may be necessary, any other dietary requests please fill out in the roster form.
In addition to the provided meals there will me snacks and food for purchase from local vendors on site. Here is a breakdown of the overall tournament.
