Ma. Ana Riza Bercero (Mariz)

Northbridge International School Cambodia - Mariz

EL2 Teacher

Mariz is a licensed professional teacher from the Philippines with a Bachelor degree in Elementary Education specializing in Preschool Education. She taught in the Philippines for 2 years before she decided to broaden her horizons and pursue her passion in teaching young children here in Phnom Penh, where she’s now been teaching for several years.

  • Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd), Leyte Normal University, Philippines
  • Licensed Professional Teacher (2015)

After graduating with the Licensure Examination for Teachers in 2015 and spending two years teaching in the Philippines, Mariz decided to move to Phnom Penh. She took a teaching job in one of the candidate schools for the IB Curriculum, which also focused on a play-based approach in teaching young children, where she handled the 2 to 4 age group for two years, before joining Northbridge International School Cambodia.

Aside from her passion to teach, Mariz also has a passion in music. She loves to play different kinds of string instruments and sing. She even has a YouTube channel where she shares her passion in music by making tutorial videos on how to play ukulele. She also loves composing songs, traveling, cooking and spending time with her loved ones.
