Stephen Oliver

Director of Finance

Stephen is a qualified accountant (ACMA) with over 12 years’ experience in the independent school sector at Kimbolton School (Deputy Bursar) and Oundle School (Deputy Bursar) in England.

  • MA in Accounting and Political Economy from the University of Aberdeen.
  • ACMA - Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants

After graduating from in 1980, Stephen obtained his ACMA designation in 1985. His career has encompassed a number of industries (Oil & Gas production, Retail and Wholesale, Manufacturing) with multi-national and SME organisations, until entering the independent education sector in March 2006.

He worked in Malawi, East Africa during the early 1990’s. In addition to his extensive accounting experience, Stephen has held responsibility for Human Resources, contracts and significant involvement in ICT / MIS developments, In the UK, he held the post of Chairman for the user group of the sector’s most commonly used MIS system until January 2018. 

Stephen enjoys sport, an active rugby union referee since 1980, amateur dramatics / singing and international travel. He is looking forward to the new experiences presented by working in Cambodia and at NISC.
