Our Literacy Challenge Week, in October last year, focused on the theme ‘Community’ and was linked to the annual Global Campus Creative Writing Challenge. Students were challenged to be ambitious by creating a written and visual element on what home meant to them. They were inspired by Margriet Ruurs’ book ‘Stepping Stones’, whilst also considering the implications of home in relation to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. Across the school our students created some amazing pieces of writing and images. We are now delighted to share with you the 7th edition of the Nord Anglia Education global, digital anthology of the shortlisted entries. This anthology features three of our students from Léman, who are amongst the shortlisted students from 48 other Nord Anglia schools around the world.
Congratulations to Rose who won highly commended in the category for 8-11 years, Charlotte Bliss who was shortlisted for the 11-14 years, and Sophia Wu was also shortlisted for our older category, 14-18 years. These are wonderful submissions of our student’s perceptions of their families and homes.
