Athletics and Activities News

We have had a great first week of CISA competition for our Red Pandas. The hard work of our coaches and student-athletes is beginning to pay off. On Monday, our U19 Volleyball teams lost close matches to CDIS, but our U15 Football teams both came away with confidence-boosting wins. On Wednesday, we were back at home to host new CISA member Malvern College. We swept the U19 Volleyball and U15 Football matches convincingly. Our teams played with sportsmanship and honour. We were very pleased to perform so well in front of our new Principal, Mr. Tom Ferguson.

On Sunday September 8th, our Secondary students will depart for the annual Explore China trips. Thanks are due to Mr. Paul McCarthy for his extensive work in making sure the logistics of these trips are squared away. We are so excited to go on these amazing adventures and to see the reflections of our students for their MYP Inter-Disciplinary Units when we return.

Upon our return, our U19 Volleyball and U15 Football teams will be right back into action with matches against QSI and Meishi.

In PHE classes, swimming lessons will begin for SK-G5 students from Monday, September 16th. All students will need their Léman swimsuits and swimming cap, as well as a pair of swimming goggles. Swimming lessons will take place in our newly renovated 6x25m swimming pool for the two weeks leading up to the October holiday and the two weeks following. The PHE Department is looking forward to getting in the water with our classes!

Go Red Pandas!
