Newsletter November 15th

This week has been a very busy one for Athletics at Leman! We have begun basketball and volleyball practices in earnest for our U19s and U15s respectively. We are looking forward to a great season and both our ACAMIS and Nord Anglia Global Games tournaments in early 2020.

The biggest events this week have been in Cross-Country running. On Wednesday, we sent nearly 40 runners to a beautiful park in the NorthWest of Chengdu to participate in the CISA event. It was a lovely day for running and our students put on a show!

We were very pleased with the effort of all of our students and the commitment from their coaches Kirsty Huskisson and JC Trowt throughout the season. Many thanks are also due to Ms. Felicia and Mr. Kuan for helping to manage the event on the day.

While our focus during this event is on student-athletes giving their best effort and trying to reach personal bests, we did have some great results.

GOLD MEDAL: Vincent Braun U9, Nella Skoumalova U15

SILVER MEDAL: Scarlet Zhang U9, Amelie Penstone U11, Murray Huskisson U11, Saadullah Muhammad U15

BRONZE MEDAL: Felix Hesser

Congratulations to all Red Panda runners.

Today and tomorrow, we welcome students from all over China as we host the ACAMIS Cross-Country running event. There are team and individual events and even a coaches’ race! We are excited about this opportunity and look forward to reporting back more good news next week.

GO RED PANDAS!
