Movember

Last Friday, on the 29th of November, our Grade 11 students collected votes for the best Movember moustache grown during the last month! On that day to support cancer awareness, students were also encouraged to wear pink in support of those battling breast cancer. Nine teachers – Mr Sutcliffe, Mr Glowinski, Mr Filipe, Mr Rutherford, Mr McCabe, Mr Paul (Gd5), Mr Riley, Mr Watkins and Mr Ben grew moustaches in support of the Movember movement, which is centred around a charity which works to support men suffering from testicular cancer and depression.

Students were allowed to cast votes on which teacher grew the best moustache, one kuai donated equalling one vote. Mr. Glowinski won the contest with an amazing 595 votes and Mr. Felipe was the runner up, earning 367. All in all, almost 2000 Yuan was raised in support of both the Movember charity and Breast cancer Research. We thank all parents for the money they gave their children to donate, and all teachers who participated and helped out along the way!
