Nord Anglia is focusing on Global Goals this year with a particular focus on sustainable cities. Grade 6-8 students were involved in Nord Anglia's STEAM Challenge which involved building aspects of a sustainable city using Lego. Firstly, students had to form small groups to discuss what a sustainable city would look like and what features it would contain. Secondly, students worked collaboratively to work on a paper-based plan of their sustainable element and then build it using Lego bricks. In just under 2 hours, all groups were successful in completing the challenge and uploaded their designs onto the Nord Anglia padlet. All designs entered from the Nord Anglia group of schools can be seen using the link:
The photographs show our students working together, making choices and decisions to achieve the challenge. A big thank you to the Secondary teachers who worked with the students in making the project such a success.
