MIT - Day Two Today was another day full of new experiences for the children attending the STEAM trip in Boston. The day started with a lecture about measuring and enhancing performance which was delivered by Prof. Leia Stirling. The children then attended group workshops where they had to work as part of a team to follow an engineering design process. John Feiler challenged the children to design and build a prototype for the desk of the future.

A visit from Santa Claus
The children at BST had a wonderful surprise last week! A visit from Santa Claus. While his reindeer were eating carrots and having a rest in the playground Santa met with every boy and girl. The children sang Christmas songs and enjoyed listening to a Christmas story. As all the girls and boys had been good this year, they all received a present from him. Thank you Santa for making a stop at BST, please come back next year!

Year 2 - Everyday Materials
Year 2 - Everyday Materials The Year 2 students took part in master classes last week. With experienced tutors, they made pottery and soap. They learnt what everyday objects are made from and how some materials can change state. It was a fantastic hands-on learning experience and the students particularly enjoyed using the potter's wheel!
