Beauty and the Beast Show

On Friday 24th May pupils of BST wowed audiences with their outstanding performance of Beauty and the Beast.

The pupils wished to take their audience on an adventure into 'the great wide somewhere' and that's exactly what they did. After Ivan's beautifully paced, slightly sinister narration the stage exploded with life as Sabina's (Belle) voice soared in the Sayram Theatre.

Her emotional range and stage presence was a wonder to behold. Javokhir, as the Beast brought a swaggering grumpiness to the role but his voice was fearsome. Ali,as Maurice, showed panic, fear and a great love for his daughter. Shohinakhon was delightful as Lumiere and sang with authority whilst Elizaveta's Mrs Potts was comical, sensitive and maternal. Akmal brought great comedy to the play as Cogsworth the clock whilst the villainy of the piece was in safe hands with Saidazim (Lefou) and Mirmukhammad (Gaston). These two enjoyed a superb chemistry which involved wonderful humour and precise comic timing. The leads were supported by a talented group of students across five year groups who all sang and acted their hearts out.

Special thanks to all the parents who supported with costumes and coming to see the show. Staff and pupils loved every minute!
