Fresh Air and Learning

On Wednesday 9th December BST organised an overnight  cultural and academic trip to Andijan and Margilan lead by Ms Cynthia Seddoh and Mr Jean-Pierre Le Grange.

Students learned about the rich culture, history, creativity and literature of Uzbekistan. In Andijan, they visited the Babur Literary Museum, and learned about what influenced Uzbek and Central Asian literature. In Margilan, they visited a silk production factory, where they learnt how silk fabric is made and typical Uzbek designs are created.

The trip was an inspirational experience that connected learning to the real world and we hope to undertake more trips in future.
