13th August 2021  — Students at the British School of Tashkent (BST), part of the global Nord Anglia Education family of schools, are celebrating after receiving their A-level, AS level and IGCSE results.

BST students achieved incredible results:

95.6% Pass rate

AS

IGCSEs

I am absolutely delighted with the outstanding results of our 16, 17 and 18 year olds. They have demonstrated our British values and worked hard to fulfil their potential despite the challenges of the pandemic.

I am especially proud of our first cohort of A level students, who have been ambitious and resilient throughout. They will now do us proud as global citizens at universities across the world. Our students have been offered places at:

The University of Birmingham, Dubai, UAE.
The University of Bristol, UK.
The University of Cardiff, Wales, UK.
IDC Herzliya University in Tel Aviv, Israel.
The University of Leeds, UK.
The University of Manchester, UK.
Ozyegin University, Istanbul, Turkey.
Science Po, Paris, France.
University of Stirling, Scotland, UK.
University of Twente, Netherlands.
University College London, UK.

I hope to see many of our students returning to Tashkent to inspire future generations. I am also optimistic that our leading alumni will choose to send their children to the British School of Tashkent to build on the heritage of achievement and success. Dr Andre Nel, Principal at BST
Having received my results, I feel great relief after a long stressful path. Now I’m heading to my university IDC Herzliya in Israel to study BSc Computer Science. Mikhail Yagudaev, Year 13 BST student.

I was very excited to get my results. A two month wait felt like a lifetime, however it was worth it; all the hard work and perseverance paid off. I am looking forward to Year 13, so that I can achieve even higher results.
I would like to study BSC Biomedical Engineering at University College London or at the University of Exeter in the UK. Mihai Munteanu, Year 12 BST student.
Opening my results and finally looking at 2 years’ worth of hard work was one of the best feelings ever - I was extremely happy with myself and my parent's and teacher's joy just added on to that. I've always been interested in a wide range of subjects; however, Biology and English are the subjects I enjoy the most. I'm looking forward to A levels where I hope to study Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and English Literature. I'm sure it's going be a fun experience, especially with my fantastic teachers and friends. It is a pleasure being a student at BST. Mridula Rout, 10 A* - A grades, Year 11 student.
The results were fantastic! As the feelings of stress finally settled down, the feeling of relief were introduced. I want to sincerely thank my teachers and BST for guiding me past the mountains of information, all of which at first seemed unsurmountable. I'm very much looking forward to the next school year when I am planning to pursue Mathematics and the Sciences for A levels. Gleb Shumlyanskii, 11 A*- A grades and top academic achiever in Year 11.
