Ms. Irene is a very experienced EYFS; KS 1 teacher and SENCO. She has been in senior management positions in hospitals since 1994 and in International Schools since 1999. She started her career as an educator in Gaborone, Botswana, 1999, where she was responsible for running the Special Needs Department of The Learning Centre International School for 6 years. She moved to Muscat, Oman in 2005, where she worked as the SENCO (Special Needs Coordinator). After three years in Muscat Oman, the management of Muscat International School transferred her to Hay Al Shurooq International School in Sur, Oman, where she was employed as SENCO, School Counselor as well as Coordinator overseeing the EYFS. In 2009 Ms. Irene joined the International School of Bucharest. At ISB, she was the SENCO and counselor for the whole school. Ms. Irene was appointed as the coordinator for the school’s satellite EYFS Nursery in Pipera, Bucharest.
From 2011 to 2014 Ms. Irene coordinated EYFS and KS 1, at the British School in Baku, Azerbaijan and acted as the SENCO and Child protection Officer. During this time she taught a Year 3 as well as a Reception Class. Ms. Irene was involved in implementing the EYFS curriculum in Kid’s Land Nursery adjacent to BSB. Ms. Irene returned to Muscat where she was Head Teacher and Operations Manager of Horizon Kid’s International Nursery, Almouj, Muscat, from 2014 till 2020.
