It has been pleasing to see so many parents in and around school this week. In Secondary we have held the Year 7 and Year 10 information mornings which have been well attended. In Primary the Phase 2 and Phase 3 ‘Meet the Teacher’ afternoons were also well attended. We really do want to see parents coming to school more often in order to share and understand their child’s education and experiences. We have many events this term where parents will be invited into school for special events and to learn more about the teaching and learning that goes on in the school. The first special event will take place next week on Friday, 16th September when all parents are invited to our Whole School Assembly. At this assembly we will celebrate a very special time in Vietnam - The Moon Festival. The assembly will be in our wonderful Auditorium and will commence at 8.50 am and I am hoping that many parents come and join us for this very special event.
I was pleased to hear news that Nguyen Quang Minh in Y8 won a very important Tennis tournament over the Summer holiday. Quang Minh plays at a very high level and we are very proud of him!
I do hope that you all have a most wonderful weekend!
Mr Anthony Rowlands, Principal of BIS Hanoi.
