Mr Nicholas West Weekly Update 19th June

19 June 2015

As many of you read this, your children will be dancing the evening away at our very first school disco. This will be a new experience for the children and it will be extremely interesting to see how the children respond in such an atmosphere.

  • BVIS Key Stage 2 disco stage

Over the last two years, we have seen the children change, mature and be able to adapt to any new situation they come across. How will they spend the evening in an English style disco with a DJ from the UK? There are smoke machines, flashing lights, stalls for finger-nail painting and bracelet making and all the children will enjoy a hot dog and fries. The music pumping out for the children to dance to will be provided by a special DJ and the playlist has been carefully selected from choices made by the children themselves. I am sure the event will have been a huge success and we will look forward to extending these opportunities to our younger and older children next year.

Next week is our final week of the term and it is extremely important that all the children are in full attendance. We have many exciting events planned including the KS2 production of Robin Hood at 5pm on Tuesday and our prize giving ceremony on Wednesday. The children will also be provided with many activities and ideas for learning that they can continue using at home during the summer holiday. It is such a special time together for staff and children and we are really looking forward to our final week of celebration, laughter and learning. Have a great weekend.
