Thank you to Mr Chris Humphrey from the ‘Blue Dragon Foundation’ for coming in to talk to our secondary staff and students. It was very emotional to hear about the plight of the children who have no home and are living rough on the streets in Hanoi.
The volunteers at Blue Dragon are an inspiration to us all; the wonderful work they do to help the homeless children at the drop in centre, how they go out each evening in Hanoi to win the trust of the children who are prone to abuse and at the mercy of gangs. Last but not least we heard moving stories about how nationally and globally Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation are helping to raise awareness, to rescue and stop the evils of child trafficking.
Everyone at BVIS has again showed how much we CARE by making donations of warm clothing, sports equipment, games and stationary for our community partner. We will be looking to continue strengthening our links with Blue Dragon throughout the year as both Hue and Saigon house have adopted them as their community partner for this academic year.
Thank you again to all the students, parents and teachers who have made donations, you have made a difference and helped to bring a big smile to a child in need today.
