This week, we were very proud to finally host the first Student Parliament of the academic year. As you will remember from previous newsletters, we have reinvigorated our channels of student voice this year and have spent the last few weeks, under the coordination of the Head Students, Mr Larmour and Mr McKie, receiving applications for ‘ministeria’ positions and assigning students to committees. I am so pleased that the parliament has now started working together and I look forward to seeing the results of this over the year.

This week, I have been helping to run a leadership course for middle leaders. 32 colleagues from Nord Anglia Schools all over South East Asia met in Hanoi to have three days of leadership training. It was inspiring to be a part of this and it gave me great confidence concerning the quality of leadership and teaching we have, not just in BVIS, but throughout the region in our Nord Anglia Schools.

Finally, I would like to wish the Under 15 FOBISIA team all the very best of luck for next week. The team is taking part in the annual multi-sport games event in Phuket. In order to get there, they have had to train very hard over a number of months. My thanks to all the staff who have helped them prepare. I wish them all the very best, hope that they come back knowing that they tried their best, and made new friends from the region.

I hope you all have a great week ahead.
