After what has been a very long and exciting term, we can now look forward to enjoying a rest for a couple of weeks in order to recharge our batteries before we start back again for the final term of the year.
Last week, we talked about the many reasons why and how spring is celebrated throughout the world. Spring is all about rebirth, the longer warmer days and the promise of summer to lift us from the hardships of winter.
The promise of the new term also means the start of the exam season, and I wish all the students in Years 11 to 13 the very best of luck, as they look to use this holiday for revision. For the Year 13s, in particular, this spring signals the start of a new life later on this year, for once their A Level exams are finished, they will have graduated from school and will be looking to beginning the next stage in their lives. Many of them are hoping to go to quality universities all over the world, and so the next two weeks of revision for them is very important. I hope they know how much we are all behind them, and wishing them luck.
For the final assembly of this term, we were able to celebrate the many wonderful and varied achievements of our students. It was a lovely occasion and a terrific way to start our holidays.

As you know, we have also released our end of term reports this week. These new revised reports, we believe, will give each parent more feedback on how their children are progressing in their academic subjects and the wider skills that we are looking to develop in our young people. My thanks to Debbie and Will Murray-Smith who put on a great parent workshop last week. It was very well attended and I thank all the parents who came to it for giving us their time to understand the new reports, and ask the many interesting questions that they did.
If, upon receiving the reports, you have any further questions you would like to ask then please do not hesitate to contact us and we will happily answer them.

Whatever you are doing this holiday I hope you enjoy it, and stay safe. I look forward very much to welcoming you back to the start of term 3 on May 2nd.
